Divine Declarations

Nothing

I am, You are, We are, and will never be nothing. A policy of nothingness is unattainable.
Buried, walking, standing in ill repute, all titles nothing can elude.
Routes to the satire shared from one tongue and delivered and rested upon the opposite’s lips.
Tooth and Teeth trapped in a reverberating sequence of I am, You are, We are everything.

- Walker Winkle

The Hand of God, lain heavy upon the heart

From the hand that light does break
So breaks the heart to the bloodless moon
And from this hand, the arrows fly
Turning night from day
Leaving the heart cold and still

And the blade of grass that flusters there
At the winds easing touch
Cuts at the water’s gentle flow
Cuts at the body when lain too long
And sprouts the seed of the soul
For the evening sun
As does the smile to the dreaming tide

From the cast iron steel of the heart
Shall sparks be seen breaking
When struck to the core
Bringing the soul to feel desired
And a longing for darkness no more
The cool calm scent of the salty ocean breath
Will find rust at the ridges of the mouth
When bound too tightly in the morning mist

From this hand, the heavenly fist strikes down
Tears away the flesh and shows bone
Dismounted and charred –
Let muscle and skin be built and rise from the clay
To show the loneliness in the night we die
And in the steel-laden heart, the human strength is born
When the cold, hardened hand knifes the self
And the self finds shame in the eyes
Of the daughter of time…

I appreciate Mystery
But would never prefer it

by Dylan Eaton

Give me Truth…
Winding cycles of infrastructure
Some basic “notion” that is consistently out of grasp; Annoying,
Pungent and Reviving…all of those happy but not so happy feelings.

Words are Truth, but people are so careless.
